White Nile Humanitarian Aid Commission launches distribution of 40,000 bags of flour to war-displaced people
Professor Fatima Al-Hajj Al-Tayeb, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Economy and Manpower of White Nile State, Minister-designate representing the Governor of the State, inaugurated today the Goz Al-Salam camp for displaced persons from Jabal Al-Daer in North Kordofan, Kosti, distribution of forty thousand bags of flour to the Federal Humanitarian Aid Commission in cooperation with the National Humanitarian Aid Commission, in the presence of Dr. Abu Ubaida, Executive Director of Kosti locality, Dr. Abdel Samie Musa, Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid of the State, and Mr. Imad Ahmed Qadim, Director of the Social Development Sector of the State.
The Minister of Finance, representing the Governor, affirmed the interest of the State Government in providing humanitarian assistance to the displaced and war-torn people, and appreciated the role of the Federal and State Humanitarian Aid Commission in the social, economic and humanitarian fields and its tireless effort to fulfill its responsibility in distributing aid fairly according to federal guidelines.
Fatima said that today's distribution targeted one thousand six hundred displaced families in the Jabal Al-Daer area, and she expressed her thanks to the federal government for continuing to support White Nile State and preserving the state's right to federal support.
In the same context, Dr. Abu Ubaida Omar Ajbin, Executive Director of Kosti locality, praised the great efforts exerted by the Humanitarian Aid Commission in providing assistance to the displaced persons. He said that Kosti locality is considered one of the localities that received a large number of people. arrivals and displaced persons, and he praised the efforts of international and national organizations that contributed to the establishment of camps to shelter the displaced persons, he also praised the efforts of the state government to provide all assistance according to the available capacities to all expatriates. shelter, food and health.
For his part, Dr. Abdel Samie Musa, Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid in the State, explained that the Commission began today to distribute forty thousand bags of flour weighing twenty-five kilograms, targeting the displaced in shelters and expatriates at the level of families and families. with social fragility, indicating that today's distribution began with the distribution of flour to a number of one thousand six hundred displaced people from Jabal al-Dair and Sidra in North Kordofan. He added that this amount of flour would contribute to solving economic and social problems. He said that the state has hosted more than three million displaced people and one million refugees from the State of South Sudan, which has doubled the economic and social suffering of the state. Abdel Samie expressed his thanks and appreciation to all organizations. International and national humanitarian workers provide these food aids and facilitate the process of their arrival to the targeted people.
