White Nile Minister of Production and Economic Resources and Secretary to the State Government launch Organic and Family Farming Initiative in the State.

The Minister of Production and Economic Resources in charge of White Nile State, Engineer Wessal Sheikh Farah, accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Jaali, Secretary General of the State Government, in charge of the Government Secretariat, inaugurated today the organic farming and domestic agriculture initiative project in the state by planting models of fruit tree seedlings and distributing quality fruitful seedlings to the workers of the Secretariat.

The Minister of Production and Economic Resources in charge of the State said that this initiative is part of the Ministry's plan to promote organic and domestic agriculture programs through the distribution of fruit tree seedlings, as one of the programs of the initiative to enable workers to enter the production department to produce fruit trees, safe and healthy, without fertilizers or pesticides.

The Acting Secretary General of the White Nile Government, Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Jaali, stressed the importance of this initiative, through which more than a hundred fruitful seedlings were distributed, in addition to planting other seedlings in the Secretariat Square, to encourage citizens to turn to organic farming and fruit trees to support the local economy and therefore the national economy.

For his part, Engineer Nasr al-Din Zakaria Khamis, coordinator of the initiative, expressed his happiness that the State Government Secretariat adopted the organic farming project, which has become the global concern to reduce the risks associated with the imposed use of fertilizers and pesticides to preserve the safety of human health and future generations and the improvement of the environment. Therefore, this inauguration consisted of planting models of fruitful seedlings and distributing others within the framework of family farming to advance in this program.
