Without peace, a hand is raised – on a quiet fire – ✍️ Khaled Muhammad Al-Baqir
⭕ In an age governed by constant change and challenges, it has become evident that the human relationships that thrived in our society have been subjected to great pressures that have made communication and affection between people rare. We see in the facial features stories of grief and loss, as families suffer from displacement, the ravages of war, the dispersion and disintegration of social bonds. This situation is due to a number of reasons which have had a profound impact on our daily lives. Despite continued efforts to give an air of peace and love, we find that they do not reflect the reality of the situation, but are only external facades.
⭕ Current conditions indicate a significant decline in social bonds, as we see a separation between friends and brothers and a breakdown in family relationships. This phenomenon is evident in public places and markets, where people exchange greetings without any real interest. The atmosphere shifted from affection and respect to isolation and individualism, which affected our daily lives and the level of communication between individuals. We would not go far if we said that the peace we speak of only reflects an outward appearance, while the spirit of relationships slowly dies.
⭕ Several factors have led to the disintegration of family and social ties in society. These include the economic pressures faced by families, which force individuals to work for long periods of time, limiting opportunities to meet and communicate. Technology, despite its benefits, has created unreal communication alternatives, as many prefer to interact behind screens. This change reduces the possibilities for empathy and deep communication between individuals, which widens the technical gap between people.
⭕The loss of social connection greatly affects the mental health of individuals. Studies show that social isolation increases feelings of depression and anxiety, leading to a new generation suffering from serious psychological problems. Additionally, complaints about loneliness increase, which can lead to negative behaviors. This doesn't just affect individuals, it negatively affects society as a whole, further disintegrating us as a group.
⭕Unfortunately, the phenomenon of false peace has become a striking characteristic of our societies. People pretend to be connected and affectionate when in reality, relationships lack depth and genuine feelings. This pretension is what weakens real connections and further complicates the situation by creating more gaps between individuals. This phenomenon represents a significant challenge, requiring conscious efforts to restore trust and affection between people.
We need real initiatives aimed at strengthening human relationships and real communication between individuals. It is important to organize community events that bring people together and reconnect them. Empathy can also be strengthened through awareness campaigns on the importance of communication and human relationships. We must remember that love and affection are still possible, despite all challenges, and we must work to revive them in people's hearts.
