Within our system, the activities of the Sudanese Friends of Tourism Organization have led us to business and harmony with other specialized sectors. We were partnered with friends of the environment and migratory and soaring bird interests. We all create tourism and its worlds. .
Sudan soars through the skies to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day (May 11), carrying a message of hope that transcends its geographical boundaries, a message that expresses its determination to protect these wonderful creatures that adorn its skies, enrich its environment and are an integral part of its cultural identity.
Sudan is located on a major migratory route for birds between Africa and Europe, with its skies forming a vital corridor for millions of birds crossing continents in search of food and shelter. These birds vary to include different species, such as storks, bulbuls, eagles, hawks and many others.
Sudan, like other countries around the world, faces major challenges that threaten migratory birds, such as wars, conflicts and climate change. War destroys birds' natural habitats, obstructs their migration routes and threatens their security. While climate change is leading to droughts and diminishing food sources, posing a major threat to the survival of these organisms.
The Sudanese naturally understand the importance of migratory birds and play an important role in their protection. Local communities preserve the natural habitats of birds, participate in their observation and monitoring and contribute to the fight against poaching.
