Young Sudanese in the Netherlands make the teams through HSTS

Since the start of the war in Sudan, and when the infrastructure has started to erode and the basic service systems have collapsed under the burden of destruction and bombing, one of the initiatives of the residents of the country abroad has emerged as a light and ritual hope, to provide a model to what real national action could be for young Sudanese in the country of the diaspora.

The HSTS, founded by young Sudanese residing in the Netherlands, offers today one of the most important models to support the health sector, not only by providing medical equipment and supplies, but by reconstructing the confidence that the country can be built again … from the base, not from the top.

HSTS continues to support the medical sector in Sudan and he succeeds in providing qualitative medical support estimated at $ 250,000, which is implemented in three lots, in favor of the sector,

Recently, medical equipment has been shipped for the Jabal Awliya hospital, which serves more than 10,000 citizens in a region. Support was not only limited to the equipment, but also included a complete vision to rehabilitate the hospital and to transfer it to a center capable of providing treatment and basic care, offering patients travel and long migrant difficulties in order to obtain medical care.

Assistance package included:

• Family of concentrated and regular care

• Laboratory and diagnostic devices

• Surgical tools

I First -hand supplies

• Auxiliary tools for the elderly and those who cannot move (animated chairs, sticks …)

• Machines for physiotherapy and rehabilitation

• Various medical supplies depending on the local need

This initiative came according to a specific executive plan, which has long started to mobilize efforts to support the health sector in Sudan.

It is planned that the container of the port of Rotterdam at the port of Jeddah will pass, at the port of Port Sudan, before settling in its final destination: the Jabal Awlia hospital. The end of next August.

Work is underway in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Local Authorities, headed by Dr Muhammad Al -Tijani, director general of the hospital, on an integrated project aimed at restarting and updating the health center, and providing a treatment environment that preserves the dignity of the patient and his family. And gives it the penitance to browse long distances to receive treatment services.

This initiative submitted by the young people of HSTS is a national project which expresses a different vision of the concept of alienation and citizenship. The expatriate in this critical period of the history of Sudan is a partner under reconstruction, with wisdom initiatives, and is based on real and studied needs and a close implementation in terms of expected calendar, destination and impact.
