Zain sponsors the week of community awareness with the dangers of war waste

Under the auspices of Sudan in Zain, the national mechanism of family and children’s protection units is organized, in cooperation with the Khartoum State police, the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Demolition in the Locality Carary, and the organization of Friends of Peace and Development, a week of awareness of the community of dangers of war waste.
This campaign comes in the light of the growing number of victims of children and their families following the explosion of battlefields after the return of citizens in their towns and villages, which resulted in death, injuries and permanent disorders. The campaign targets citizens residing in the shelters of the locality of Karari, and focuses on their consciousness of the dangers of war waste and the means of treating it safely, in addition to improving the culture of immediate relationships when searching for a foreign object or a suspicious substance via the free number 60666.
The campaign also aims to establish partnerships between government agencies and institutions working in the field of mine and explosive documents, and to provide psychological, social and legal support to victims and their families, as well as to educate families on communication mechanisms with the competent authorities.
The campaign has witnessed the presence of the Minister of Social Development, the State of Khartoum, Director of Family Protection and Child Protection, the Police of the State of Khartoum, Director of Protection of Family and Child, representatives of the Child Protection Council, the State of the Local Police, Directors of the State Departments, a representative of the Director of the Police of the Local Police and Friends of peace and development organization.
It is worth that Zain has launched a campaign to raise awareness of the dangers of war waste and unplodced objects, in cooperation with the organization of friends of peace and development and the supervision of the National Center for Control of Mines, and the campaign has made a good spread through community media and banners in entries to cities, distributing awareness publications … and organizing various events.
